Taste Route: LA PORTOFINESE The Portofino project aims to recover abandoned land, take back the cultivations of the past and bring back agriculture and animals on an area that for centuries has lived with the land and not with the sea. Their project is the use of land, sources of renewable energy, turning Portofino into an international model for eco-sustainable tourism. With them you can experience authentic experiences in nature, which visit to the apiary and the production of honey, propolis and pollen from Monte di Portofino that comes from the bee forest where the hives are made arranged on a biodynamic soil, as the old tradition of the Benedictine monks. Naturally organic, here the honey produced is in two variants: millefiori and chestnut. The beauty of the place and the genuineness of the products make this tour a workshop of emotions that includes the possibility of sponsoring a beehive and / or attending a workshop agriculture. Another project of theirs arises from a simple bet: the possibility to grow hops and produce craft beer on the promontory of Portofino. At the end of a research and development cycle, the Eco-Farm is managed to go beyond expectations, going from 50 to 350 plants cultivated and giving life to a small 100% local craft brewery. There walk lasts 3 hours and includes the visit with tasting of the craft beer “La Portofinese”, a rich flavor of Golden Ale charm.
